With two million registered users from 670 cities in India, eBay India now welcomes graphical advertising from marketers and advertisers, who can avail an opportunity of in-depth exposure to the e-commerce community in the country.
According to Rathin Lahiri, Chief Marketing Officer, eBay India, “eBay is the prime online destination for an increasing number of online shoppers who use the Internet to make considered purchases across categories like mobiles, computers, digital cameras, lifestyle products and collectibles. eBay will offer advertisers a unique platform to communicate to this audience through theme advertising and interactive offerings.â€
Marketers and advertisers can now target eBay India’s 2 million-strong community, as well as 2.5 million visitors who visit eBay every month. Advertisers can have graphical placements on the eBay India home page, search results section or category pages, or they can even create a microsite for user engagement. Product marketers can also set up an e-commerce enabled eStore that can be promoted across sites.
On eBay India, a significant number of buyers research for products online and then proceed to either buy online or offline. According to a study by ACNielsen, around 12,800 people are making their living – either full time or part time – through buying and selling on eBay India
