Myanmar Yangon Gems Auction

Myanmar has started an 11-day auction of precious gems in Yangon, state media reported. The New Light of Myanmar announced that the sale of gems, jade and pearls would run until July 4 at the Myanmar Convention Centre.

Christie’s sale of Modern & Contemporary art in London has seen Souza’s 1955 work, Birth, fetching £1,273,250, as against an estimated £600,000-800,000.
Overall, the sale generated £5,432,050 and saw 70% of the lots being lapped up.

Coimbatore tea auction prices rise
